Labor Day weekend and our Anniversary was spent in Las Vegas, NV. It was a great time even though we left them most our winnings..I mean losses. I hung out by the pool when Rick was working, we gambled some, checked out the strip, watched college football at the ESPN zone, and went to Cirque du Soleil on Saturday night. It was AWESOME! Oh, we had a few drinks too! We stayed at the Luxor. We first got a room in the pyramid but they were old so we upgraded to the tower rooms which were much nicer. Cris Angel almost ran into me as he and his possy were making there way to a club somewhere. His show hasn't started yet but he lives at the Luxor. I would definitly go back to see his show...He is amazing! So after 12 years of marriage Rick and I thought we deserved a weekend away. The girls spent a wonderful time at moggy and papa's and did adjust after 2 days.
This is what the story is about for the show we saw:
KÀ by Cirque du Soleil is an unprecedented theatrical event. A masterpiece in storytelling, KÀ uses acrobatic performances, the thrills and action of martial arts techniques from all over the world, plus innovations in puppetry and multimedia to tell the epic tale of twins on a perilous journey to fulfill their shared destiny.
Along the way, the twins confront characters and events representing the opposing forces of good and evil. Before their world comes under attack and collapses around them, the twins receive a magical talisman for protection. As the plot unfolds, danger lies in wait for them at every turn.
KÀ by Cirque du Soleil brings the visual language of cinema to a dazzling live event that is more about storytelling than any previous Cirque du Soleil production. I recommend it to anyone. It was very moving!
