Halloween
Long Time no post!! A month...sorry. The week before Halloween Moggy, the girls, & I went to Schnepff Farms. It's a huge farm that had kiddie rides, petting zoo, pig races, food, corn maze, & of course pumpkins. It was our new Fall place that reminded me of home. We all had a good time. Then on Hallween we went to the Fall Festival at school, which was ok. Kylan got trapped in a catipillar jumpy thing and was SCREAMING to get out..it was funny. No it wasn't for her! Then we came home and hit the neighborhood to trick or treat. What a disappointment! As you know most of the homes are empty, then only a few others had there light on. The girls don't really know any different so they had fun anyways. We had already bought enough candy so we didn't need anymore. That Saturday Rick went to Glamus with the guys to ride the dunes, party, and camp. It was ALOT warmer this time. He had a great time. It was 120 degrees during the day, ugh! Finally, our weather has gotten reasonable. 70's in the day which is perfect! Kylan is tinkerbell & Ashtyn is Mariposa in these pic's. Enjoy!

Hawaii Trip
Aloha! What a wonderful trip we had to Honolulu, HI. We stayed about 2 blocks from the Waikiki Beach. We left on Wednesday morning to take the 6 hour plane ride from Phoenix to Honolulu. On our way there we gained 3 hours which really sucks when we came home. Rick had to work Thurs & Fri so I did what I do best...layed on the Waikiki Beach and got a nice tan, jumped in the waves, & read my book. Each night we would hit the stores & restaurants on the up scale strip in Waikiki. Very different from 16 years ago when I was here in college. Ok, so the 1st day I burned my back side. I guess Hawaii has a much stronger sun then Phoenix. I could barely sit for days. Then Sat we headed to Sandy Beach to jump the waves. I ended up with SOOOO much sand in places I can't mention because the waves were so big. Rick was loving it :). Then we made our way around the entire island stopping at random beaches along the way. We ate yummy island shrimp from the locals & stopped @ the Dole Plantation to eat Pineapple ice cream. Sun we visited the Pearl Harbor submarine & Missouri ship which was very interesting. Rick was a great tour guide since he understands what it all is. I included pic's too. I could never live in such tight quarters. This is what Dan Bartron used to live like as the Master Chief for the Navy. He got to stay in the nicer quarters being so high up in ranks. Impressive. That night we watched the sunset @ the beach and watched Hula dancers do a show on the beach. Mon we went snorkeling at Hunama Bay & then saw 1 turtle @ Turtle Beach. Tue we ate lunch with one of Kathy's old friends which was nice and then I flew back home. Ricky is flying home as we speak. It was a wonderful getaway...I recommend to each of you.

My Model Home - j/k
I have taken my deocrating sense and have finally added some great touches to my living room. There is a new store in town called HOME GOODS...it's a great store. Unique decor for reasonable prices. We went on Thursday after work and on our way home got caught in the worst dust storm I have ever seen. It was worse than a black out or fog. We had to actually stop completely on the road because we couldn't see anything around us. I had dirt EVERYWHERE. Our pool was totally green with dirt and debre. So then on Sat I was back in home goods and bought some more decor. It looks great! The Theme in the dining area is "Paris" and in the living room is dark chocolate brown with some gold flecks. Who would've thought I would choose gold but it looks good. So now we are ready for another Kok Reunion...speaking of that I might get that album done before Christmas. I am not doing well with staying on task. Patience everyone!

Ballet classes and meetings
Next week I am off to Denver, CO to present in the Q4 Meeting and take a training class. Ashtyn has started Ballet classes on Monday's and Ricky has started riding his motorbike to work so please pray that the Meyer Family survives next week. Kylan is not starting dance class yet. She did not seem too interested in it at the trial run. While the other kids were singing and dancing to ittsy bittsy spider she was in the corner playing with her toes and sucking her thumb. Ashtyn has learned pointers from Eden already so she is loving it. We bought her a black leotard and pink leggings...soo cute. You all have a great week.
Viva' Las Vegas
Labor Day weekend and our Anniversary was spent in Las Vegas, NV. It was a great time even though we left them most our winnings..I mean losses. I hung out by the pool when Rick was working, we gambled some, checked out the strip, watched college football at the ESPN zone, and went to Cirque du Soleil on Saturday night. It was AWESOME! Oh, we had a few drinks too! We stayed at the Luxor. We first got a room in the pyramid but they were old so we upgraded to the tower rooms which were much nicer. Cris Angel almost ran into me as he and his possy were making there way to a club somewhere. His show hasn't started yet but he lives at the Luxor. I would definitly go back to see his show...He is amazing! So after 12 years of marriage Rick and I thought we deserved a weekend away. The girls spent a wonderful time at moggy and papa's and did adjust after 2 days.
This is what the story is about for the show we saw:
KÀ by Cirque du Soleil is an unprecedented theatrical event. A masterpiece in storytelling, KÀ uses acrobatic performances, the thrills and action of martial arts techniques from all over the world, plus innovations in puppetry and multimedia to tell the epic tale of twins on a perilous journey to fulfill their shared destiny.
Along the way, the twins confront characters and events representing the opposing forces of good and evil. Before their world comes under attack and collapses around them, the twins receive a magical talisman for protection. As the plot unfolds, danger lies in wait for them at every turn.
KÀ by Cirque du Soleil brings the visual language of cinema to a dazzling live event that is more about storytelling than any previous Cirque du Soleil production. I recommend it to anyone. It was very moving!

First Day of School
I can't believe how my little girls are growing up. This week was the first day of 1st grade for Ashtyn and first day of the "Big Girl Class" the 3's for Kylan. Mr Medina is the 1st grade teacher. He seems nice...and strict. Ashtyn was in time out on the 2nd day for not raising her hand to talk. That's good he is setting the expectation up front for all the kids. She was not the only kid to get time out. Alot of her friends have returned to Phoenix Christian. They are also in the new building, it's very nice. So let's pray for good grades all year..which should be no problem for our little brainiac.

Washington Vacation
Thanks for the wonderful time in Washington. I did all the things I wanted too..relax, hang out with the fam, and even see my little sister Lisa. I got to meet my new nephew, Samuel...what a cutie. We hung out @ Birch Bay, Bellingham Bay, and Fairhaven. We went back to school shopping and ate dinner @ the Nut House yummmm. The weather was perfect and we even saw some rain on our last day in town. Ashtyn had a great 3 weeks at Nana & Grampa's and Kylan got to spend some quality time with them as well. We walked to the park and saw the crikk. Now we are back in Phoenix and back to the grind..work, school, and the heat.

VACATION
It's Friday afternoon and I am officially on vacation for a week. Yeah! Kylan & I leave tomorrow for Washington to visit Nana & Grampa. We are looking forward to it. I am also missing my girl, Ashie so can't wait to see her either. She is having a wonderful time with her nana & grampa...even more fun than at home. What is vacation? Spending time with friends and family. Relaxing, sleeping in, no clock to control us, and rejuvinate for the next few months. As soon as we return life will be back to hectic. Ashtyn starts 1st grade, Kylan starts in the 3 yr class, Rick continues to travel and make sure systems are running right, and I continue to be a mom, wife, and employee. Ooohhh vacation!!!

No More White WALLS
So finally after 2 years I decided I was fed-up with white walls. I took 2 days off last week and painted my loft and entire living room...vaulted ceilings and all. It was extremely hard and tiring but it looks great now. I could not have done it with out the help of my girls, Eden, and Aaron (Eden's boyfriend). It took 4 long days and now it needs some good decorating sense but I love it. The wall along the stairs is Lincoln Cottage Brown. The loft is Mesa Tumbleweed & the other accents are Faint Maple. I was going to the entire room the cottage brown but Ricky did not approve. It was pretty dark however I did get to keep one wall. It looks good, pic's don't do it justice. I am going to add the dark blue (office wall color) behind the amore' in the loft but haven't done that yet. All these colors tie the house together. Next is adding curtians, pictures, accessories, etc. That's the fun part :). Here are some pic's. Let me know what you think.

July Birthday Girls
July is a busy month for the Meyer family with the 4th and the 2 Birthday's. Moggy & Papa took them to the Barnum & Bailey Circus and we watched the fireworks up @ Estrella. Both girls woke up to balloons, confetti, & paper mache' with their favorite breakfast (chocolate chip pancakes) and gifts. Ashtyn is now 6 years old and Kylan is 3. We are going to Nana & Grampa's for a birthday party in Washington so the birthday celebration will last for the entire month of July. How fun is that :). We have all been enjoying the hot weather and trying to stay cool by swimming in the pool. Ashtyn is off @ Nana's and Grampa's for 3 weeks. I know they will enjoy some quality time together. Mommy & daddy will enjoy some quality time with Kylan. Our focus now is "potty training". Everyone enjoy your week.
